An emerging and alternative consumer products company in downtown Chicago is hiring a Social Media Manager to build an engaged online consumer community and increase brand reach. This is an opportunity to build something from the ground up and have complete ownership and autonomy of the brand’s social media landscape.

Social Media Manager Position Highlights:

  • Integral part of the business with complete ownership of social media strategy and execution
  • Create, implement and execute engaging and original content across different social media platforms
  • Develop and oversee social media campaign and strategy roadmap
  • Manage relationships with third party agencies — including projects, budgets and timelines
  • Develop an influencer program
  • Extensive cross-functional team interaction

Social Media Manager Ideal Candidates:

  • Experienced in digital marketing, including a minimum of 3 years’ experience in social media management
  • Agency background working on CPG or entrepreneurial client-side consumer packaged goods experience preferred
  • Proven ability to create engaging content across multiple channels
  • Deep understanding of paid, earned and owned media mix
  • Proficient in social listening tools
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to think out of the box and challenge the status quo
